Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where is the Phase Chimes plugin? I don't see it listed in my host app.A: Phase Chimes is a MIDI extension (not an audio extension), so it will appear along with other MIDI processors, sequencers, etc. For example, in the AUM host app, you must create a MIDI track, then tap "+" to see available MIDI extensions.
Q: Can scenes be selected by MIDI?A: Yes, notes C2 through G2 will select scenes 1 through 8, respectively.

Phase Chimes began as a personal creative project by Ken Murphy (me). I was inspired by the "phase music" of composers like Steve Reich, in which simple musical motifs drifting in and out of sync give rise to complex, evolving patterns.I'm an independent software developer, musician and artist, based in Oakland, California.
